In 2019, Karen & Ewan approached me while at our local CrossFit gym. Looking to discuss their plans for their new home, based out of town in the small rural village of Sefton.
After that initial informal meeting, we soon realised we were on the same page & that this project would be something special.
I was immediately confident about how special this outcome would be.
After a series of shared sketch design variations, several coffees & discussions over a home cooked breakfast. Karen & Ewan were visibly thrilled & relieved.
They were excited that together, their ideas had been given the life & confidence they needed to proceed with the build.

This 2024 award winning project , like all our projects, was a collaboration with our clients and is a love letter to country living.
This project features two dwellings, with both contemporary & traditional materials. The clean forms were inspired by the rural buildings of the area.
The kitchen design & interior finishes were selected & completed by the clients.
This project was completed by Arthur & the team at Robertson builders & later won a master builders gold award & regional category award in 2024.
